Duties & Responsibilities as general worker
Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining cleanliness within the warehouse.
- Assisting in verifying orders (stock).
- Supporting the assembly department with the assembly of stock items as assigned.
- Conducting initial checks on all Johannesburg orders to ensure accurate picking, checking, and packing according to the picking ticket and/or invoice.
- Ensuring that picking/checking tickets are properly signed off and that the stock quantity aligns with the tickets.
- Assisting with order packing as needed.
- Helping to organize received shipments or returned stock onto shelves.
- Performing any other reasonable tasks or instructions from management to meet the company’s objectives.
- Contributing to general housekeeping and cleaning of the warehouse, with tasks assigned by warehouse management or senior personnel at their discretion.
- Emptying bins and disposing of empty boxes found in the aisles of the warehouse, ensuring that all discarded boxes are destroyed and placed in the large bin outside.
- Ensuring that picking tickets are accurately completed, with the date and time of completion properly recorded.
- Assisting in the repackaging of old or damaged stock.
- Picking customer and branch orders in accordance with standard operating procedures and training.
- Ensuring that orders are picked accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assisting with the verification of stock orders as needed.
- Helping with the wrapping of pallets when required.
- Assisting in the unloading of container shipments.
- Participating in stock takes and cycle counts.
- Performing any reasonable tasks or instructions from management to achieve the company’s objectives.

Desired Experience & Qualification
To achieve success in this role, candidates must possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
Qualifications: for general worker
- A School Certificate with a minimum of grade 10.
- At least one year of experience in a Warehouse setting.
Personal Skills: for general worker
- Self-motivated and focused on tasks.
- Demonstrated communication abilities.
- Capability to follow instructions and work autonomously.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Capacity to perform under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: R 5040.00
